Side effects: The typhoid vaccine may cause mild side effects such as soreness at the injection site, headache, tiredness, mild fever, or stomach discomfort.

Additional precautions: Take care with food and drink while travelling. Drink bottled or treated water, avoid ice in drinks, eat food that is freshly cooked and served hot, and avoid raw or unwashed fruit and vegetables unless you can peel them yourself.
